Exemptions are defined as property that has been removed from the assessment roll, and are thus excluded from taxation. There are several different types of property tax exemptions.
KRS 133.045 dictates the appeal period to be the first Monday in May and to extend for two weeks thereafter. The assessments must be finalized before the tax rates are calculated. Learn more about the Appeals Process.
