Ford Motor Co. announced Thursday that it will invest $80 million in the Kentucky Truck Plant, adding 350 permanent jobs.

The investment will go toward updating the 2015 Lincoln Navigator sport utility vehicle and other upgrades at the plant, which also produces F-Series Super Duty trucks and the Ford Expedition SUV.

Overall production at the plant will increase 15 percent, or by an estimated 55,000 vehicles. Last year the plant produced 353,000 vehicles.
