A Georgia company has filed plans to develop 159 apartments that may be available to University of Louisville students at the former American Standard industrial site west of Belknap Campus in the Park Hill area.
Landmark Properties, based in Athens, Ga., filed a plan with Metro Planning & Design Services for the community, named the Retreat at Louisville.
Land Design & Development Inc., the Louisville design and engineering firm working for Landmark, referred questions to Jason Doornbos, Landmark’s senior vice president of development. He didn’t return several calls this week.
The plan filed with the city shows the housing on a 20-acre vacant site that has an address of 1700 Westmount Way. The project requires only what should be a routine review by the Metro Planning and Zoning Commission staff, officials said.
