Louisville was named one of the nation’s best cities for home ownership, thanks to its affordability, energy costs and low property taxes.
Bankrate.com, a personal finance-focused website, conducted a study that examines which United States metropolitan areas are the best and worst for home owners. It looked at eight factors: Home affordability, property taxes, price appreciation, homeowners’ insurance, foreclosures, home energy costs, maintenance costs and rent hedging.
