During this time, a portion of River Road and West Washington Street will be closed to through traffic. We know this is an inconvenience, so we have made alternate routes to businesses and parking available.
The Waterway Protection Tunnel will prevent millions of gallons of sewage from entering Beargrass Creek and the Ohio River. During excessive rainfall, the tunnel will store sewage and stormwater for treatment until system capacity is available.
