Local Homebuying and Renovation Workshop Offers Free Guidance

February 28, 2015

In support of the revitalization that continues in the community, the Shelby Park Neighborhood Association will host a Wells Fargo Homebuying and Renovation workshop to allow prospective homeowners interested in the area to learn about preparing for homeownership and financing options that include renovation of existing homes.

The workshop will be held Saturday, Feb. 28 from 10a.m. to 3:30p.m. at the Shelby Park Community Center, 600 East Oak Street in Louisville. Participants can meet one-on-one with Wells Fargo home mortgage consultants and renovation specialists to discuss home purchase, financing options and down payment assistance programs, and can apply to get pre-qualified for a loan. Participants can also talk with vendors on-site featuring products and services beneficial for property renovations and take advantage of the Neighborhood Open House.

Registration is encouraged but not required. Register online at www.wellsfargo.com/events or by calling toll free 1-800-897-6335, or 502-459-7997 locally.

“The Shelby Park Neighborhood Association wants to welcome potential residents back to our historic neighborhood,” said Chip Rogalinski, the association’s president. “This is a unique opportunity for single families to be surrounded by a park in a blended neighborhood of old and new.”

“Wells Fargo is committed to helping families turn houses into homes, and renovation loan products present a great option for customers who desire a home that needs repair or want to make changes to their existing property,” said John Feige, a renovation branch manager with Wells Fargo Home Mortgage. “We have a dedicated sales team who will be at the expo to answer any questions aspiring homeowners may have.”
