Frankfort, Ky. (March 4, 2015) – The Kentucky Environmental Quality Commission (EQC) is seeking nominations for its annual Earth Day award.

The commission recognizes individuals and entities for efforts to protect the environment and honors them during a ceremony in Frankfort each year during the month of April.

Jefferson County Property Valuation Administrator, Tony Lindauer took the oath of office for his 3rd. term along with other public officials. Lindauer officially took office for his new term on December 8th when Circuit Judge Audra Eckerle administered the Oath of Office,

The AARP Tax Aid Program provides free tax preparation to low and moderate income residents. Help is needed in Corydon, New Albany and Sellersburg. The tax season runs Feb. 1 through April 15. Volunteers are needed at least 4 hours per week.

The Louisville Regional Airport Authority plans the first major makeover in a decade of the Jerry E. Abramson Terminal, with work on tap costing up to $8 million.

The envisioned improvements are chiefly cosmetic upgrades that will include lighting and flooring as well as new escalators and artwork throughout the Louisville International Airport passenger terminal.
