2025 PVA Online Conferences closed May 19th, 2025.
The 2026 appeal window will open April 24th, 2026 at noon EDT and close May 18th, 2026 at 4pm EDT.
We do our best to maintain fair and equitable property assessments, but we don’t know every detail about your property. If you disagree with your property assessment we want you to know you have a right to appeal.
When the assessment of your property increases or decreases from the prior year, the PVA will mail a reassessment notice to the mailing address on file for the property in late April. 2026 assessment values will also be posted on our website at noon EDT on April 24th, 2026.
You do not have to receive a reassessment notice or a revised assessment value in order to contest your property assessment. As a property owner, you have the right to contest your assessment each year. By law, certain steps must be followed in the process. The PVA Online Conference is the required first step. If you are not satisfied with the result of your Online Conference, you can then request to proceed to the next step of the appeal process, a hearing with the Local Board of Assessment Appeals.
