An Indiana company plans to invest about $30 million in developing 312 apartments off Preston Highway near Commerce Crossing in southern Jefferson County near Bullitt County.

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (March 5, 2014) — Ford Motor Co. Fund has named Louisville as a Ford Next Generation Learning community, making the city and Jefferson County Public Schools part of a growing network of communities that are transforming public high schools into career-themed academies.
LOUISVILLE, Ky. (Feb. 21, 2014) — Diageo said it plans to invest an initial $2 million to develop the Stitzel-Weller Visitor Center at the former Louisville distillery site, which ceased operation in 1992.
The company will renovate the original administrative building to bring to life the history of the Stitzel-Weller Distillery through artifacts from the site’s archives;
Ford Motor Co. announced Thursday that it will invest $80 million in the Kentucky Truck Plant, adding 350 permanent jobs.

New and expanding Jeffersontown businesses can now submit applications for a five year occupational tax break.
